Mirabelle’s in the Market Square, Dunmanway has now reopened for takeaway teas, coffee’s sandwiches, baguettes, pastries and salads from 10 – 6 Monday to Friday.
Des O’Mara’s artisan home baking at Mirabelle’s has been much in demand during Lockdown. His Huguenot bread is a half sourdough seeded plait in tribute to his family’s heritage, for this historic building was for many years the Town Bakery run by his mother, a London trained pastry chef. His sourdough starter is kicked off with fungi and seeds foraged from the wild woods above Dunmanway, hence his “woodsman” sourdough baguettes and bagels. Mirabelle’s also stocks an increasing range of excellent Deli products including, fresh pastas, sauces, olives and biscuits not to mention flours and home baking requisites.
Dunmanway locals and visitors are delighted that this local landmark has reopened for dining, with his secret garden and outdoor dining options if the weather is nice. Get there early for great artisan baking fresh every day at the Market Square, Dunmanway.
