Fine Irish ingredients are core to the production of the range of West Cork Biscuits from their premises in Dunmanway, Co. Cork. Irish Butter, local free-range eggs and top quality oats, an exception is made to the baking soda.
This successful enterprise was originally set up by the proprietors Jane and Richard Graham-Leigh, as a cottage industry from their home and selling from a stall at Clonakilty Farmers’ Market in 2003. The high standard of the biscuits remains the same, always the finest quality ingredients especially Irish Butter.
From the production unit in Underhill, Dunmanway the doughs are still made in small batches, portioned and shaped by hand. All the biscuits are therefore unique but equally delicious.
The company never uses artificial flavours or colours, preservatives or stabilisers, emulsifiers or hydrogenated fats in any of its cookies thus creating true cookies of character and flavour.
