Accommodationat Casey’s Hotel:
At Casey’s Hotel they know the value of a good night’s sleep, so whether you have been hiking over a mountain, cycling the Beara peninsula, swimming in a warm gulf stream current, whale watching, enjoying a sing song or just chilling on the patio with a cool drink and warm sunshine, you can be assured of a warm and comfortable bed, fluffy pillows, convenient en-suite, satellite TV and tea and coffee at the end of your day.
The venue is a firm favourite with a colleague and his wife involved with the Irish Foodie magazine so they went over to “The Glen” #Glengariff to the lovely Casey’s Hotel for their first restaurant meal since last October and over a year since they were here last, how they have missed this fine establishment! It did not disappoint under the direction of Eileen Deasy in their busy kitchen and we enjoyed fine fare alfresco on the terrace. Great fishy seafood chowder, a main course of draught Smithwick’s aka Nectar, Beef and Guinness Pie and a sinful Pavlova to finish. Always reliable, always good and always with the reassuring sign of locals who are regulars. We felt very safe as they obviously take their Covid precautions very seriously. Make sure to book.
We always leave here feeling happy and it is a regular pitstop when we have visitors, there is something for everybody on the menu and with it’s history, Hollywood connections, divine location in lovely Glengariff and friendly service – it is a winner!
